Cats have their own preferences when it comes to food. They may not like popular food items and just choose something different out of the ordinary. And as a new cat owner, you may not know what type of food your cat likes and dislikes. So, instead of starting a new diet, it’s better to ask the shelter/owner about the current food plan of your cat and use it. Also, make sure to ask if the cat has any kind of food allergies.
If you want to introduce a new food, do it gradually. Don’t switch their diet immediately.

Stainless Steel Bowl are durable and easy to clean.
4. Water Fountain
According to Dr. Murithi, plastic cat water fountains might harbor a lot of bacteria and can be a source of allergies. Stone and wood, on the other hand, can hold onto odors. Stainless steel and ceramic materials are best as they are easy to clean and hygienic and water should be changed at least once daily.
Running water is good for your pet, as it would catch their attention faster.
5. Litter Box
There are many different types of litter boxes available in the market for your cat. Cats prefer clean, large, uncovered litter boxes. They should be big enough for the kitty to comfortably fit and turn around in. Having no covers helps these little ones feel safe while they go to the bathroom.
If you clean the litter box daily, you might only need to change the clumping litter every two to three weeks. If you notice an odor or if much of the litter is wet or clumped, it’s time for a change. Make it a routine to scrub the box every time you change the litter.
6. Non-Stick Metal Scooper
Getting a scooper is important. Scoopers made of nonstick metal scooper are better than plastic ones. They are easy to clean and maintain. But it doesn’t mean you have to clean them once in a while. It’s important to clean them after each use.
7. Cat Brush
Another thing that you should buy for your cat is Hair Brush. What type of brush? Well, it depends on its hair type. Cats with long hair need a slicker or pin brush and possibly a de-shedding tool to remove dead hair and dirt from their topcoat and undercoat. Long-haired cats that are prone to mats may also need a comb that can dig into dreadlocks and slowly untangle them. A slicker or pin brush can also be used on a short-haired cat, but they may prefer the feel of a soft, rubber curry comb, which removes dead hair and gunk as it gently massages the coat. A grooming glove is also a good option for short-haired cats.
Regularly grooming a cat with a brush, comb, or glove can reduce shedding, matted fur, and hairballs.
8. Scratching Post
Scratching is a normal cat behavior. Cats scratch to keep their claws in a good shape, sharp and healthy. It is a proper method for cats to express emotions like fear, anxiety, excitement, and stress. Other than that, scratching can remove dead layers from their claws. 11. Breakaway Collar
